Between light and darkness there is no boundary, only a transition. A space in which one slowly fades as the other emerges, without ever fully separating. It is not a place that can be clearly defined, but rather a state that is constantly shifting. Light does not exist here without darkness, and darkness does not disappear in the presence of light — both coexist, shaping and sustaining one another in the same moment.

Two figures meet here by chance, unaware of their mutual influence. They do not come from the same place, nor are they moving toward the same destination. Their presence overlaps only briefly — quietly, without any claim to duration. Their movement slows for a moment, and the space between them fills with a state that is not meant to be named. It is neither an approach nor a withdrawal, but a subtle deviation in direction, where their presences become aware of one another.

The touch that occurs — or nearly occurs — does not act as a gesture. It expresses no intention and carries no need to change anything. It exists on its own, without expectation and without continuation, as a moment with no ambition to last. And yet, something endures within it. Not as a memory that can be returned to, nor as an event that can be repeated, but as a quiet shift that leaves no visible trace and remains present in what each of them carries forward.

Within the space, a trace remains that does not call attention to itself. It is not meant to be read or understood. And yet it persists — quiet, subtle, and, for those able to perceive it, unmistakable.
